YouTube introduces YouTube Movies

Now you can view hundreds of feature length movies and documentaries on YouTube for free, but the quality varies. Some of the movies are of really good quality like the documentary HOME, but many of the movies are of truly bad quality in all sense of the word. Not only are the movies grainy and almost unwatchable, but since several of the movies are made by independent “movie companies” the acting is extremely cheesy. And I don’t mean cheesy in a funny way, but cheesy in a sad pathetic way that makes you ashamed on their behalf.

On a positive note, I found an old dubbed Jacki Chan movie of good quality that made me laugh. Let’s hope that YouTube in the future will add more quality movies.

HannaCam.Net Version 4

After an extremely large amount of re-designing and re-programming HannaCam.net version 4 is up and running. Lately the blog has gotten a somewhat large amount of visitors so I felt it was time to update the blog. So now all the old bugs are gone and a few new ones are added ;)

New features are:

  • Popularity – In the header of each post you can see how popular a post is.
  • Facebook Like – If you like a certain post or posts, just press ‘like’ and a link to that post/posts will be posted on your facebook wall.
  • Breadcrumb – In the blog header you can see what post your are reading and in what category the post is in.
  • Share Buttons – At the top of the sidebar some share buttons have been added.
  • Advertising – Yes I know everyone hates advertising, but I need to make a living. 4 Adverts has been placed in the sidebar.
  • Categories/Sub Categories – Order has come to HannaCam.net.
  • Footer – A real blog footer with Privacy Policy and some Follow/Share buttons.

Features to come:

The Yes Men – Fix the World

What happends if you try and succeed in impersonating US government politicians and a big corporate leaders? Can you make a change? Can you make the world a better place? These are some of the questions “the Yes Men” tries to answer in this movie. And in the process also publicly humiliate some of these politicians and leaders.

The US government has tried to stop this movie from ever being released. Now you can download it for free using bittorrent and share it with your friends without fearing prosecution. This movie has NO copyright and is meant to be shared.

Quick Tip #2 for Ubuntu – Cairo-Dock

If you for some strange reason want to make your Ubuntu look a little bit more like Mac, then you can install Cairo-Dock. Cairo-Dock is more or less the same as the Mac Dock… or what ever it is called (I’ve never been a Mac user) and its features include themes, plug-ins, 4 different hiding modes, advanced indicators, zeitgeist integration, and window management. You can place Cairo-Dock at the bottom, top, and/or sides of your screen. (Continue…)

Quick Tip #1 for Ubuntu – Location Bar

Change Location Bar Style

When you install Ubuntu the default style for the location bar is breadcrumb style and I personally don’t like that style. I want textmode locationbar.

Scorched 3D for Linux

I don’t know if any of you remember the classic DOS game Scorched Earth “The Mother Of All Games”, but I used to play that game a lot when I was young. After almost 20 years since the first version was released a new version of that game has been released to Linux and 7 other operating systems. It’s called Scorched 3D, it’s totally free and the graphics is awesome. Not only that but Scorched 3D now also include LAN and Internet play.

The Demanding Gamer Reviews TF2 Engineer Update

After having done a lot of testing with the new functions and items, I can say this:

The Wrangler: ‘Tis a good function that gives the Engie more to do than to just sit there, staring at the texture. You now actually get to do something more than sit, build and repair.
The shield has a good amount of health when using this item. But I can also safely say that any Soldier, Heavy or Demo with a good aim can still take out the Wrangled Sentry, even at level 3(This has been tested on 32-player CTF_2Fort just to get the most out of stress testing).
Since one can still take out the Sentry this way, I can say that it isn’t overpowered. But rather a bit more resilient than it used to be, which is a good thing. (Continue…)
